1. Who we are

These terms cover your use of agiledevelopmentinstitute.com and anything you buy from it. The site is run by Agile Development Institute, based in Durham, North Carolina (“ADI”, “we”, “us”).

By using the site, joining a waitlist, or buying a course, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

2. What we sell

Self-paced courses. Online courses you work through at your own pace, such as Microsoft Copilot for Administrative Professionals.
Micro-credentials. When you pass a course level, you earn a micro-credential with a public link anyone can check.
Live certification classes. SAFe® and ICAgile classes delivered by ADI or an authorized instructor, on scheduled dates.

3. Buying a self-paced course

Price. The price shown on the course page is the price you pay, in US dollars. It’s charged once. There’s no subscription.
Payment. Stripe handles the payment. We never see or store your card number.
Your access link. After payment, we email a personal link to the course. That link is your key: it records your progress and is what your credential is issued against. Please keep it private and don’t share it. If you lose it, use the Resend my course link page, or email us.
How long access lasts. You keep access for as long as ADI offers the course. If we ever retire a course, we’ll email you at least 90 days before access ends.
One person per purchase. A purchase is for one person. Group and team pricing is available on request.

4. Refunds for self-paced courses

You can ask for a full refund within 14 days of your purchase, as long as you haven’t passed any level of the course and earned a credential.
Once you’ve earned a credential, the purchase is final, because you’ve received what the course is for.
To ask for a refund, email training@agiledevelopmentinstitute.com with your order number (it starts with ADI-). You don’t need to give a reason.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Your bank may take 5–10 business days to show it.
When a refund is issued, your access to that course ends.

5. Live certification classes

Class details. Each class page shows the dates, times, format (online or in person) and what’s included.
Exam and certification included. The class price includes your first attempt at the certification exam and the certification itself. Any retake fees are set by the accrediting body.
Canceling your seat. Cancel 14 or more days before the class starts and you get a full refund. Inside 14 days there’s no refund, but you can move to another date (see the next point).
Moving or passing on your seat. Before the class starts, you can make one free change: move to another scheduled date, or give your seat to a colleague. Just email us.
If you don’t attend and didn’t tell us beforehand, there’s no refund. As a courtesy, we’ll move you to a future date once if you ask within 7 days of the class.
If we cancel a class, for example because too few people enroll, you can move to another date or get a full refund.
Exams and certifications are issued by the accrediting body (Scaled Agile or ICAgile) under its own rules, not by ADI. Passing is up to the accrediting body’s exam.
To cancel, move or pass on a seat, email training@agiledevelopmentinstitute.com with your order number.

6. Micro-credentials

An ADI micro-credential shows that the named person completed an ADI course level and passed its assessment.
It is not a SAFe®, ICAgile or university certification, and it isn’t issued or endorsed by any of those bodies.
Anyone with the credential’s link or ID can check that it’s genuine at verify.agiledevelopmentinstitute.com.
If we find a credential was earned dishonestly, for example by sharing a course link or having someone else take the assessment, we may withdraw it.

7. Using the courses

Course materials are ADI’s work and are protected by copyright. You may use them for your own learning and at your own job.
Please don’t copy, resell, share, or post the course materials or assessment questions elsewhere.
Course content is educational. It isn’t legal, financial or IT-security advice for your particular workplace. Always follow your employer’s rules on AI tools and data.
Products such as Microsoft Copilot change often. We keep courses current, but a screen or feature may look different from what the course shows.

8. Emails from us

If you buy a course, we’ll email your access link, your receipt and messages about your purchase.
If you join a waitlist, we’ll email you to confirm, and once when enrollment opens.
Every marketing email has an Unsubscribe link. Emails about something you bought aren’t marketing, so they still come through.

9. Trademarks

SAFe® and Scaled Agile Framework® are registered trademarks of Scaled Agile, Inc. ICAgile is a trademark of the International Consortium for Agile. Microsoft and Copilot are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. ADI is not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft. Other names belong to their owners.

10. Limits of our responsibility

We work hard to keep the site running and the courses accurate, but the site is provided “as is.” We can’t promise it will never be unavailable or error-free.
As far as the law allows, ADI’s total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the course or class it concerns.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law that can’t be waived.

11. If something goes wrong

Talk to us first. If you have a problem, email training@agiledevelopmentinstitute.com. We’ll give it our full attention. You agree to give us 30 days to try to put it right before taking any other step.
North Carolina law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.
Where. If a dispute can’t be settled, it will be decided in the state or federal courts for Durham County, North Carolina. Either of us may use small claims court for smaller amounts.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. The terms in effect when you bought something are the ones that apply to that purchase.
