Vibe Coding Made Simple takes an everyday professional from "I have never seen code" to shipping a product that customers pay for, built by directing AI coding agents and checking their work. It is written for office managers, coordinators, teachers, small-business owners and anyone who solves problems with spreadsheets and email today and would rather have a small tool that does the job. You do not become a programmer. You become the person who can say what to build, tell whether it was built right, and keep it running. The principles work in any AI building tool. Demonstrations use Claude: a browser builder in Level 1, then an AI editor, then Claude Code in the terminal. Every lesson ends with a build task, and every level carries one real project from start to finish, so nothing you make is a toy. Level 1, Builder, teaches how the web and an app are put together, how to write a spec before you prompt, and how to build a request-and-booking tool three ways: in a browser builder, in an AI editor reading every change, and from your own spec with a terminal agent, deployed to a live address. Level 2, Integrator, adds the parts that make an app trustworthy: a real database you designed, sign-in, roles, row-level security, the test that proves one customer cannot see another's data, tests the agent runs for you, and spec-driven development. Level 3, Architect, is the professional tier: drawing and defending architecture, the agent harness (CLAUDE.md, skills, hooks, subagents, MCP), payments with verified webhooks, breaking into your own app and fixing what you find, and running in production with CI, error tracking, backups and a timed rollback. Each level ends with a quiz and a capstone you upload: the project itself, scored against a published five-row rubric with an explanation for every row. Pass both and you earn that level's credential, with a number anyone can check on our public verification page.
What it covers
- 01Module 1 — How software is built
- 02Module 2 — Your first build in the browser
- 03Module 3 — From browser to editor
- 04Module 4 — Data
- 05Module 5 — Identity
- 06Module 6 — Verification
- 07Module 7 — Architecture
- 08Module 8 — The agent harness
- 09Module 9 — Production
Who it is for
- —Administrators, coordinators and analysts who want a tool instead of another spreadsheet
- —Small-business owners who want a booking form, quote tool or customer portal without hiring a developer
- —Teachers, community and nonprofit staff who need sign-ups, trackers and rosters
- —Graduates of ADI's Claude, Copilot or Everyday AI courses who want to build, not just use
- —Managers and founders who need to hold their own in technical conversations and judge AI-built software
Before you start
- —Everyday comfort with email, documents and a web browser. No coding or technical background
- —A laptop or desktop computer (a phone or tablet is not enough after Lesson 5)
- —A Claude account with Claude Code (a paid plan), a free GitHub account, and free accounts at Vercel and Supabase (the lessons show you where to sign up). Level 1 also uses one browser builder's free tier; Level 3 uses Stripe in test mode (free)
- —About eight hours a week: three reading, four building, one explaining what you built out loud
